Natural-looking, durable materials
We use high-quality porcelain and zirconia crowns color-matched to your existing teeth, so the restoration disappears into your smile. A well-made crown typically lasts 10–15 years or more with good care, and protects what’s left of your natural tooth.
A comfortable process
Most crowns take two visits — one to prepare the tooth and take impressions, and a second to place the final crown, with a temporary in between. The procedure is done with local anesthesia, and we offer sedation if you feel anxious. Many plans cover part of a medically necessary crown.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is a dental crown and when do I need one?
A crown is a custom "cap" that covers a damaged tooth to restore its strength, shape, and appearance. They are commonly used after a root canal, to protect a cracked or heavily decayed tooth, to restore a worn-down tooth, or to top a dental implant.
How much does a dental crown cost?
The price depends on the material (such as porcelain or zirconia) and the tooth involved. We provide a written estimate before treatment, accept most PPO and HMO plans as well as Denti-Cal and Medi-Cal, and offer financing. Many insurance plans cover a portion of medically necessary crowns.
Does getting a crown hurt?
The procedure is done with local anesthesia, so you should be comfortable throughout. Some mild sensitivity afterward is normal and temporary. If you feel nervous, we offer sedation options to keep you relaxed.
How long do dental crowns last?
A well-made crown typically lasts 10 to 15 years, and often longer with good oral hygiene and regular checkups. Avoiding hard foods and wearing a night guard if you grind your teeth can extend its life.
How many visits does a crown take?
A traditional crown usually takes two visits — one to prepare the tooth and take impressions, and a second to place the final crown once it returns from the lab. We will fit you with a temporary crown in between so the tooth is protected and comfortable.
